JASSI then a
cted as advocate and interpreter traveling out to the Long Island center and provided correct information. - With such problems as leaky pipes, holes in the ceiling, and many inoperative electrical outlets ignored by the management, a 79 year-old Japa
nese senior needed an English-speaking advocate to help her get her apartment fixed. Although the building was going through bankruptcy proceedings, JASSI's letters and phone calls resulted in the resolution of the problems.
