Jennifer's First Homepage!
Well, this is my first experimentation with writing in
html. I'm interested in making this a very resourceful page. I
hope to meet people and exchange interesting information. In order
to get a response from others, I should state a few things about
myself, and tell you what I find interesting.
- I attend Queens College (as
you may already know) and am
majoring in elementary education and sociology.
- My father is from Austria and my mother is from Lithuania. I
have one sister, six years older.
- Animals and their welfare are very important to me. I am a
member of various animal rights organizations, as well as a
vegetarian. In fact, as I expand my page I would like to include
links to various groups on the web.
- This summer I travelled to Ireland with friends to visit their
families. I'm not Irish, however I had an awesome time! I've also
been to Australia and Germany. I haven't been to the west coast,
here in my own country, but I'd like to soon, perhaps this summer.
- I love to cook and bake in my spare time, and love easy,
delicious recipes, especially those which do not include meat.
- I'm getting very sick of my part time job as a waitress at a
diner-like restaurant.
I am including some links to some very useful organizations which
are concerned with helping animals. I am practically begging you
to check them out to see what action you could take, join the
organization, or simply read what they have to offer!
The
Dolphin Alliance
The
Fund For Animals
San
Diego Animal Advocates
The Wilderness Society
There are some great ways in which you can adopt animals through
the internet. Animal
Place and
Adopt a Whale
are both great sites to adopt an animal.
After viewing some of this terrific sites,I hope you will feel
compelled to do something to help our friends in need. If you do
not have the $$$ to give, then just use your voice! These sites
will help find where to write or email senators, or vote against or
for a bill:

If you would like to view some great
I hope the links I have given you have been interesting and
educational!
If you are still awake after reading this pitiful page, I give you
much credit. If you could contribute any helpful hints in making
an eye popping, interesting page, or just want to trash or comment
on my homepage, feel free to e-mail me.
